Ours is a modern love story.  In early February 2012, Thomas, brand new to the online dating scene, gathered up the courage to send his first message to Terra.  (The first thing that caught Thomas' eye?  Terra's admission that she made her bed every day without fail - a fact that is still true, and still makes no sense to Thomas).  After exchanging a few emails, Thomas and Terra decided to meet in person before a trivia night in DC they both regularly attended.  They got along so well they almost missed the start of the trivia game itself.  Within a day, they had their next date planned.  And not long after, both of their online dating accounts were permanently cancelled.

Fast forward a year.  The couple found themselves in Chicago for Terra’s grandparents’ 60th wedding anniversary.  Thomas, knowing how much Terra enjoyed having family around to celebrate events, decided to ask Terra to marry him.  He did not foresee the challenges ahead in finding a romantic spot to do the asking in Schererville, Indiana. After much wandering, including a stint at the local church, he asked Terra to marry him – in their hotel room at the Holiday Inn Express, with a beautiful view of a construction site.  After some tears (possibly for the location of the question), Terra said yes.  They then went to share the good news and celebrate with family.
